AnglerStays was born on the water at 5AM, when the bite report was hot but the cabin we booked was 45 minutes from the ramp, had no fish cleaning station, and the host asked us to be quiet because “fishermen wake up too early”.
We knew there had to be a better way.
AnglerStays is the first marketplace built exclusively for fishermen, by fishermen. Every lodge listed here has what generic travel sites ignore:

AnglerStays β Where Anglers Belong respects your privacy like we respect a secret fishing spot.
1. What we collect
- Account info: name, email, password (encrypted)
- Listing info: lodge photos, location, pricing in USD/EUR/GBP/RON/CAD/AUD/JPY/BRL/NOK/NZD
- Booking info: dates, guest count, payment via Stripe (we never store card numbers)
- Fishing preferences: target species, boat needs (to show relevant lodges)
- Analytics: pages visited, search queries (to improve bite reports)
2. How we use it
To connect anglers with fishing lodges, process bookings via Stripe (10% fee), and sync tackle shop products (8% fee). We use your fishing preferences to show Bass lodges to Bass anglers, not generic hotels.
3. Affiliate tracking
When you click Amazon links (tag anglerstays-20) or Booking.com links, those sites use cookies to track commissions. We earn 3-8% at no extra cost to you. You can disable cookies in your browser.
4. We NEVER sell your data
We don’t sell your email, fishing spots, or booking history. Period. Lodge owners only see what guests share for their stay. Tackle shops only see order info.
5. Your rights (GDPR)
EU anglers can request data export or deletion at admin@anglerstays.com. We comply within 30 days. Data stored on secure servers in EU/US.

Refund & Returns Policy

π£ Our philosophy: Fishing trips are weather-dependent. We protect both anglers and lodge owners with fair rules.
1. Fishing Lodge Bookings (10% AnglerStays fee)
- Free cancellation: Up to 14 days before check-in β 100% refund (minus Stripe fee 2.9%)
- 50% refund: 7-13 days before check-in β 50% refund
- No refund: Less than 7 days β No refund, but you can reschedule once within 6 months (subject to lodge availability)
- Weather / Bite cancellation: If lake is closed by authorities or dangerous weather warning, full credit for future stay
- AnglerStays fee (10%) is non-refundable after booking confirmation – covers Stripe + platform costs
2. Fishing Tackle Products (8% fee, 10 currencies)
Prices shown in USD, EUR, GBP, RON lei, CAD C$, AUD A$, JPY Β₯, BRL R$, NOK kr, NZD NZ$ – You get 92% after sale.
- New, unused tackle: 30-day return for full refund (buyer pays return shipping)
- Defective / wrong item: 100% refund including shipping – shop owner covers return
- Used / opened lures, lines: No return for hygiene/safety reasons (hooks, soft plastics)
- Boats, Kayaks, Electronics: Must be in original packaging, unused. 14-day return window due to size
- Refund processing: 3-5 business days via Stripe to original payment method
3. How to request refund
Email admin@anglerstays.com with: Booking ID / Order ID + Reason + Photos if defective. We mediate between angler and lodge/shop owner within 48h.
4. Amazon Affiliate Products
Products bought via Amazon (tag anglerstays-20) follow Amazon’s return policy (30 days). AnglerStays does not handle those returns – contact Amazon directly.
5. Chargebacks
Please contact us before chargeback. Chargebacks incur $15 fee + Stripe dispute fee. We protect honest anglers and owners.
